After out bike ride today, we went to Sonic to eat. I was getting everyone's orders and asked Ewan what he wanted to drink and he said it: "Soda." Soda? Soda? Where did her learn that word? We're a midwestern family; we say "pop." Where did he here "Soda?"
The temp got above 50° today, so we packed up the bikes and headed for the trail. We had anticipated good weather, so we dropped by Dick's yesterday and dropped a bunch of money on cool-weather clothes for the kids. The trails still had some snow and ice on them in places, but it was amazing the amount of sitting water puddled on the trail. We came home wet and dirty, but enjoyed our ride. Ora 5 and Aspen both had personal bests: Aspen went 6 miles on her own, doubling her previous distance. Ora went 18 miles besting his best distance ...
Part of Aspen's birthday present was a new cat. Enid and the kids picked it out on Thursday and it was ready to go home today. The kids have spent the day coaxing it into playing with them. His name is Flynn.
Even after an amazing snow storm American Exteriors came out to install our new windows today and they look great! They are high-efficiency windows so the house feels warmer and I expect to save almost 75% on my heating and cooling costs! Woot!
